Flowers Legacy Saga

Early in the morning, Anna and Beau sat together for the serious talk Anna had to have. As gently as possible, she tried to tell him he is going to have a little brother and sister. Fortunately he took that message very well and he seemed even looking forward to not being the youngest anymore.

When it came to Remington however and his relation to the little baby, a heavy silence fell. First Beau was fidgeting with his trousers and staring. But then he suddenly jumped off and stormed into the garden.

Anna knew it would be best to let Beau be on his own and deal with this in his own way. He would probably come back and ask her questions. Questions she dreads, but she knows she has to try answer them. Otherwise she would loose her son for ever.

In the meantime, Basil had prepared breakfast and Anna sat down with him to eat. As expected, Basil didn’t take the news of Anna’s pregnancy and her relationship with Remington too hard.

“Mom, I know, dad wasn’t always nice to you and to us. I think Remington is a nice guy and we could be best friends or something. As long as you don’t make me call him ‘dad’ or ‘uncle Remington’ or something. I had one dad, it wasn’t the best in the world, but he was mine.”

Anna was relieved Basil reacted in this way and that he wasn’t against Remington’s coming to stay with them. If only Beau were a bit older, maybe he would understand. But at his age, dads can do everything: climb mountains, lift cars, pick planes from the air. Oh, how difficult it must be for her youngest to accept his daddy wasn’t perfect!

Indeed, Beau was having a hard time. When he rushed off into the garden, he went to the graveyard and to his fathers grave.

“Dad! Dad! Do you know what mom has done! She is going to have a baby with another man. You are gone and now she already has found another dad! Dad! Why did you let this happen?

Beau just raged on against the stone with his father’s name on it.

Finally the boy broke down in crying and he sobbed heavily over the loss of his dad. It is so hard to understand for a little boy like him and so much had changed.

Anna came out into the garden to look for Beau. He had been outside for a couple of hours now and he hadn’t had breakfast yet. When she saw him in the graveyard, she ran quickly to join him. She took her little boy in her arms and held him while the sobbing slowly stopped. Her little, precious boy!

When Beau felt secure again with his mom, who came looking for him, who comforted him, he began asking very difficult questions. Without knowing really what to say, Anna just tried to be as honest as possible and to answer every question. Sitting in the grass of the graveyard, mother and son were trying to resolve their difficulties and to mend what is hurt.

In the end Beau accepted that his mother wants to move on and that Remington comes to live with them. He couldn’t really grasp how she felt, but he just knew his mother would be happy again. She promissed him she would never say bad things about his dad and that she will kick Remington out of the house if he does so. He felt sure his mother would always love him and that’s why he wants her to be happy too.

Anna and Beau went inside the house together and Anna prepared him some food too. While eating, he wanted to know more about the baby, when it would come and if it would still be his brother or sister. Anna answered all these questions too, they weren’t half as difficult as the ones in the graveyard.

Basil just went his own way. Ever since he became a teenager he had been curious about kissing. The fact that his mother had kissed and fallen in love with Remington, made Basil even more curious about kissing and stuff. So he invited Sophie over and was having a good time with her.

She seemed to be interested in exploring kissing and such and enjoyed the hugging and whispering and flirting a great deal. And then the moment was there when Basil first put his lips on Sophies lips and they shared their first kiss. Basil was very excited about this, although he had a feeling there had to be more to explore.

Later that week, Remington moved in. The kids had to get used to him being around day and night, but since Remington was very nice to their mother they were OK with it.

Remington was very happy to be with his great love all the time. He also enjoyed rubbing Anna’s belly or talking to his unborn child. He was very looking forward to becoming a father.

Remington wanted to provide for this family and soon found a job in politics. It was a lot more demanding than cleaning, but with politics one never should be surprized to find some “dirt” at unexpected places. Because he had been in so many different families, he could relate to very different kind of problems and soon became a very popular politician.

It wouldn’t be long before the baby would come and Anna wanted to be sure Remington was recognized as the father. The only secure way was to get married, but Remington didn’t want to rush marriage because of Basil and Beau. Anna was sure it was no problem for the boys if they were married. They could have a quiet ceremony with just the four of them and that would be it. Remington agreed to do so.

Anna immediately went down on one knee and asked Remington officially if he would like to be married to her.

Remington accepted quickly, being very concerned she would fall and hurt the baby.

Then they went over to the arch near the pond. Anna had had it redecorated with white roses and she thought it was very beautiful. The boys soon came out in their best suits to attend the marriage ceremony.

With some very simple vows and 2 “I do’s” Anna and Remington were joined in marriage.

Accompanied by the appause of Basil and Beau Anna and Remington kissed each other passionately.

All four went inside to have a special dinner. Although Remington was still a bit of a stranger to the family, the atmosphere was rather good and it was a good evening. After dinner, Anna went upstairs to the master bedroom. She had redecorated the house and added the second floor. All the bedrooms were now upstairs.

She went to the bed and tried to relax. She was sure the baby would come very soon now, because she was already having mild contractions. All she could do now was wait for the baby to come.
