Generation 1 - Chapter 4

July 23, 2005

All alone with only 20K simoleons, Anna sometimes wondered why she had decided to go to Flower Valley yet and start building a house. It was pretty hard for her, deciding what lay-out for the house should be made and still having enough money to buy things like a fridge and a bed. All by herself without Neil’s opinions and his smart way of spending money.

Luckily, Anna had enough money to buy the things she needed to work on her skills. She had already maxed out some at university, but she needed to work mainly on body and charisma. So she bought a fitness machine and a mirror and spent a lot of time working on her skills.

She also found a job in the hospital very soon, due to her graduation with honour and her skills. This was something she had always dreamt about and she felt very happy. The only thing she didn’t really like was being alone at night in her home, which wasn’t really like house without the walls and the roof.

Anna's humble home

Although the hospital was very pleased with Anna’s qualifications and her motivation, they wanted her to work on her surgical skills in order to be able to make promotions. Anna got a training machine at home and spent many hours cutting and digging in the plastic body. The training really helped her, because soon she got a first promotion.

Although Anna loved her job and worked hard to make some money, she missed Neil terribly. They spoke to each other on the phone every night. Neil wanted to join Anna as soon as possible too, so he spent all his time on studying and making money. He had just entered the last year of college and concentrated on his thesis.

At the Greek House, things went on as they used to when Anna was still around. Felicia and Houston were a couple now and Felicia had asked him to pledge. Neil was OK with it. He understood it would be quiet after he graduated too. And Houston appeared to be a nice guy, who wanted to be his friend very much.

The phonecalls made up a bit for the fact that they were living apart now, but Anna was very happy when Neil told her on Friday night that he was able to come over on Saturday. Unfortunately, he had to work on his term paper first, but he would arrive in the evening.

All saturday, Anna was waiting for Neil to come and to her perception saturday had never been so long. Finally she heard him coming, so she rushed outside to greet him. She was greeted by a very happy and excited Neil too and the first moments they did nothing but hug and kiss and look at each other.

Neil came over for weekend

Finally they started talking. Neil wanted to know the last things that had happened at the hospital and Anna was very curious how Neil’s thesis was coming. Both knew they just had to go through with this period and then they would be living together again.

They also talked about their future marriage. They both wanted to invite just a couple of friends and have a simple ceremony and a buffet. Nothing very extravagant. Anna told Neil she had already found a weddingdress, a very simple one although she didn’t describe it in detail. Neil was fine with it, because to him Anna was beautiful no matter what she wore.

Neil thought there had been enough talking about serious things and wanted to know what the new double bed was like. As giggling teenagers they ran off to the bed and crept on it. Still giggling they started teasing each other and soon they were making out.

And of course this ended with their first WooHoo in Flower Valley.

WooHoo in Flower Valley

After Neil spent the weekend at Anna’s place, Anna could cope better with him not being around. She had seen him, spoken with him, touched him and she knew that before long, he would come to live with her. She just concentrated on her job and her skills, working towards her wants and making money at the same time.

Finally she got a phone call from Neil saying he had graduated with honours and was packing his things to come over. He would be with her the next day.

Neil graduated

When Anna came home from work, she saw Neil standing on the lawn and she ran over to kiss him. He had been there for some time and had already unpacked his belongings. He also told he had gotten 20K simoleons to start with too, so now their money problems would be solved for a while.

Neil coming to Flower Valley

In fact Neil didn’t like their home as it was now and had already been thinking about adding walls and a roof. Also he wanted to have a normal kitchen and a seperate bedroom. He was hoping that the money he brought with him would be enough to make those changes to the house and still leave enough money for the wedding.

Neil doesn't like the house

He also started looking for a job right away. Although he dreamt of becoming a business tycoon, he settled for a job as a coach. Managing an athletic team or a business team, a lot of things would be the same. Anna approved of his plans and enjoyed very much that they could sit together on a couch and spend the evening like that.

She was still working a lot on her skills and read a lot of books. Neil was amazed at how much she liked studying in her spare time. But then again, he spend most of his spare time painting and he just got better and better. Everytime he finished a painting, he would get around 600 simoleons. He really liked painting and he really liked the money.

Soon, Anna and Neil would be married. They both knew they wanted children and they were looking forward to it.
