Generation 1 - Chapter 3
Anna and Neil really enjoyed living together and stimulated each other in their studies. Anna had recently had some counseling sessions that Academie Le Tour offered to each student that had finished their second year. After discussing her results so far and her future goals, the cousellor and Anna concluded that it was best if she kept her aspiration. So Anna continued her search for knowledge and her Major in biology.
Neil had chosen economics as his Major, because he thought it suited best his goal of becoming a Business tycoon. He studied very diligently, because he knew that would offer him more money. In his free time, he liked to spend time at Ria’s place where he often performed on the gitar or the bass. He took Anna with him on some occasions and they gave some performances together. In those cases, Anna always played the bass, because that instrument was more of a background one.

Through these occasions, Anna came to realize she didn’t spend much time with her friends. She was almost starting her senior year now and thought it was time to socialize a bit more. To force herself to this, she discussed with Neil to turn their home into a Greek House. He thought it was a fantastic idea and so the Fruhm-Annya Greek House was founded.
Anna started to work on getting friends to pledge and invited Felicia over. They hadn’t spoken much since Anna left the dorms, but soon they were chatting like old times. When Anna asked her to join Fruhm-Annya, Felicia accepted right away. She performed all the tasks coming with the pledging period and soon she was a full member.

The next friend to become member was Alvin. He had also gotten to know Anna from the dorms and he was glad to be asked to pledge. Within a few days he became a full member too, so Fruhm-Annya already had 4 members.

With the money from the scholarships, Neil and Anna were able to build another storey to the house. Now their Greek House had room for the other members to come to live. Anna first asked her best friend Felicia, who was happy to leave the dorms. Apparently, Felicia was a very knowledge-oriented woman like Anna and she had difficulties studying in a crowded dorm. The small Greek House attracted her and the same night she moved in.
From now on, Anna and Felicia both talked about their Major together and helped each other out. Due to life in the dorms, Felicia hadn’t got past her first year exams, while Anna had already entered her last semester.

Although the Academie offered the counselling sessions to Neil he, he declined the offer. There was no doubt in his mind that pursuing a great fortune suited him best.
Finally the day came when Anna would have her very last exam. Although she had had A+ for all the other exams and studied hard, she was still very nervous. Of course she got another A+ and so she majored with 4.0 GPA. She was very proud of what she had done.
Because they hadn’t had a party before in their Greek House, Neil and Anna decided to give a Toga party for Anna’s graduation. They ordered everything they would need for a roof raiser party and Anna had some surprise by herself.
When the guests came, most of them started to dance on the lawn with Anna and Neil.

Only Felicia was dancing a bit away from the crowd with a boy from the dorms, Houston. They were dancing together and apparently they had a very good time themselves and didn’t pay much attention to what was going on.

While Felicia was having her own party, Anna felt the moment for her surprise was there. She had known from the start that she would graduate before Neil and leave college first. She didn’t like leaving him alone and wanted to give him something as a symbol of her love.
That’s why she knelt down before him and asked him if he wanted to be engaged to her and to be married when he would follow her to Flower Valley.

Neil’s answer was “Yes” and they were both very happy about their future plans. They kissed each other with a passionate kiss, knowing that after the party they wouldn’t see each other for some time.

Felicia and Houston were way too busy with each other to have noticed Anna’s proposal. It seems like she had found the love of her life too.

The other guests however wanted Anna to give a speech, so Anna went over to the champagne.
“Dear friends, dear, dear Neil. I’m happy and sad to raise this glass to Neil. Happy because he just accepted my proposal and made me happier than I have been before. He has made my life so much more fun, that I wouldn’t want to miss him for the world. But that is also the sad part, I have to leave him behind when I move to Flower Valley while he finishes his study. I’m sure he will try to come to me as quickly as he can, but that won’t prevent me from feeling lonely from time to time. So I ask you to raise your glass to Neil, the love of my life!”
“To Neil, the love of Anna’s life!”

When he had swallowed the lump in his throat, Neil lifted his glass of champagne.
“Of course, dear friends, I can’t top the speech Anna just gave. Just allow me to say to my lovely Anna that I will do anything I can to come to Flower Valley to start our new life there. And that every day I will be away from you is one day too much. To Anna, this beautiful woman and hopefully soon my wife!”
“To Neil’s Anna!”

After these speeches, the guests were enjoying the party even more. They danced together and ate from the buffet. Neil and Anna couldn’t take their eyes from each other, knowing that the cab would come after the party. The bags were packed already and stood in the hallway. They danced and kissed and made the most of these last moments.
When the cab came, everyone waved goodbye to Anna. She had quickly put on some comfortable clothes and went off to Flower Valley to build a home for Neil and herself.

What a lovely party. Who was the meanie who knocked over the garbage can? Hehe. Can’t wait to see what her life will be like as an adult. :O)
